The Child Rights Information Network (CRIN)

CRIN is a global network for children's rights. It leads international children's rights coalitions and strives to make existing human rights enforcement mechanisms accessible for all. More than 2,100 organisations in 150 countries rely on CRIN's publications, research and information.  In 2011, CRIDOC was also endorsed by CRIN to become a focal partner in Malawi to collaborate on its children's wiki project, and online encyclopedia of children's rights. In 2007, CRIN donated an assortment of resources towards the CRIDOC Library/Resource Centre at its Secretariat, ranging from child rights related books and magazines, to brochures and leaflets; to information CDs and DVDs.

The Human Rights Information & Documentation Systems, International (HURIDOCS)
Huridocs logo
HURIDOCS is an international NGO helping human rights organisation use information technologies and documentation methods to maximize the impact of their advocacy work. It develops tools and techniques, and provides advocates with customized training and support. HURIDOCS is also an informal, open and decentralised network of human rights organisations who wish to put together their experiences and creativity to develop common standards and tools for information management. Membership is open to all.

The International Childhood and Youth Research Network (ICYRNet)
ICYNet Logo ICYRNet was established with a mission to promote, internationally, the inter-disciplinary study of children and young people in order to further awareness and understanding of issues that affect their well being. It brings together organizations which produce research on children and childhood as well as organizations which utilize (or would like to utilize) research findings in order to benefit and improve outcomes for children and young people. It also fosters collaboration between stakeholders in order to produce better ways to address issues affecting the well-being of children and young people.

Global March Against Child Labour (GMACL)
Global March Logo  CRIDOC is the country focal point (coordinator) of the Global March Against Child Labour (GMACL) for Malawi. GMACL is a movement to mobilize worldwide efforts to protect and promote the rights of all children, especially the right to receive a free, meaningful education and to be free from economic exploitation and from performing any work that is likely to be harmful to the child's physical, mental, spiritual, moral or social development.

The Child-to-Child Trust
c-to-c logo Since 1979, Child-to-Child has existed as an international network promoting children’s participation in health and development. It promotes child-centred, active learning approaches that engage children on development issues. Children then disseminate their learning to other children, their families and their wider communities through participatory research activities. CRIDOC engages and mobilizes children to take part in debates and several other activities through the child-to-child approaches, using the structures that we have established in schools, namely the child rights clubs

The Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA)
Codesria Logo  CODESRIA was established in 1973 as an independent Pan-African research organisation with a primary focus on the social sciences, broadly defined. In November 2006 - CODESRIA hosted a regional colloquium in Dakar, Senegal, to discuss the state of child research in Africa and the desirability and feasibility of forming a regional Child Research Network in the continent, where CRIDOC was acknowledged as one of the organizations outside academia that are conducting child research in sub-Saharan Africa (see pages of 84 & 86 of the conference report).

The AWiSA Network
Awisa Logo The AWiSA Network is a non-profit internet based information and communication resource funded by the German Government. The mission of the Network is to contribute to the fight against HIV & AIDS in sub-Saharan Africa by providing relevant information about HIV & AIDS in the workplace, and linking people and organisations working in this field. Founding members of the AWiSA Network are SAfAIDS (Southern Africa HIV and AIDS Information and Dissemination Service) and GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit).

The Omprakash Foundation

CRIDOC has partnered with Omprakash Foundation in its international volunteer program where we encourage prospective volunteers to register with the US-based Foundation before they can volunteer with us in Malawi.

The Network of African Youth Development (NAYD)
NAYd Logo  The Network of African Youth Development (NAYD) is a network of hundreds of young Africans impacting positive changes in thousands of lives in Africa! NAYD thus creates a platform to create opportunities for African youths through sustainable development and involving young people into an African network to preach the message of peace, human rights, HIV/AIDs, and the UN MDGs. NAYD wants to make young people in Africa to be the change. The Stop TB Partnership
Stop Tb Alert The Stop TB Partnership is a network of  nearly 1000 partners that exists to serve every person who is vulnerable to TB and ensure that high-quality treatment is available to all who need it. Its Secretariat is hosted by the World Health Organization (WHO) in Geneva, Switzerland and seven working groups whose role is to accelerate progress on access to TB diagnosis and treatment; research and development for new TB diagnostics, drugs and vaccines; and tackling drug resistant and HIV-associated TB.

The UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC)
ECOSOC  CRIDOC is in consultative Status with UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), which is a We service the 3,500 non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), and all other NGOs seeking to work with the UN. Consultative status with ECOSOC matters. It gives civil society access to nearly all intergovernmental processes at the UN dealing with economic and social development, gender issues, sustainable development, small arms, and human rights.
