Centre for Community Empowerment and Development

Centre for Community Empowerment and Development (CECAD) is a local youth-led development and non-profit making NGO. It was established in June 2006. Our mission is to promote human rights through enhancing diverse livelihood support capacity development of communities that contributes to building a visionary, energetic, healthy and productive generation; participating in initiatives aimed at empowering them to attain food security, improved healthy living standards, economic and socio-cultural security with rights based approach.

Mzuzu Youth Association

Mzuzu Youth Association is a non profit making organization that is run by volunteers from different youth clubs/organization in the Mzuzu City, Malawi. It was formed in the year 2001 on 5th June with youth representing different organization/clubs. since its inception mzuzu youth association has so far achieved 70 percent of its activities. the association is registered with Mzuzu District Aids Coordinating Committee (DACC), National Youth Council of Malawi (NYCOM).

Salima Aids Support Organization

Salima Aids Support Organization (SASO) is a community – based local NGO, registered in February 2004. The organization was formed on 4th February, 1994 by the late Catherine Phiri – The 2000 UN Race against Poverty winner. Since 1994, SASO has become the leading institution in the fight against HIV/AIDS in Salima district and Malawi as a whole. The organization is highly recognized by the government, international NGOs as well as local donors..

Foundation Centre and Development Initiative

Foundation Centre and Development Initiative (FOCEDI) is a Youth Organisation situated at Malomo Trading Center in Ntchisi district, 200 km away to the North from the Capital Lilongwe. It is registered with the National Youth Council of Malawi as well as the Malawi Government. The organisation’s impact area is Traditional Authority Chilooko, in Ntchisi district. The area has a population of close to 25 000 people. Ntchisi is the third poorest out of 28 districts in Malawi and it shares boarders with Kasungu to West, Nkhotakota to the East and Dowa to the South.

Youth Care Ministries

Youth Care Ministries (YCM) is a faith based organization which was formed in 2003 with a core view of equipping at risk children with tools necessary for academic excellence, life skills, leadership and holistic growth so that they become resilient health citizens of Malawi in both urban and rural areas. Our work in the city of Lilongwe resonates on the core issue that at risk children are those on the streets and those on the verge of becoming street children. These children are usually from low-income areas of the capital city such as Chinsapo, Area 36, Area 22, Biwi, Mchesi, Kauma, Ngwenya, etc.
